Summary

Ever have some really cruddy neighbors? Have they ever thrown their trash on your lawn and you’ve had to clean it the next day? This guy too. Except his neighbors are giants, and the trash is leaving craters in his village. It’s time to do something about it.

Uses both jam themes: Two Button Controls and Growth. For the most part finished except a few little things: the tapping minigame has no fail ending and some music is missing.

Background

I participated in Ludum Dare, a worldwide game jam. Within 72 hours, we (myself, Darren Vogt, Allen-Michael Brower, and Noah Park) created a game about riding up a beanstalk and getting revenge on a giant. I think it turned out really well, and the players agree; we ranked 10th in Theme in 14th in Humor out of 2870 entries!

I’m especially proud because this was my first-ever game jam, and it went so well! I wrote a post-mortem to review what I learned.

Here’s the jam entry page on the WayBack Machine. An Android version used to be on Google Play, but now you’ll find it here.
