Kaiju Claim
Summary
On an island regularly ravaged by giant monsters, you’ve decided to start selling Kaiju Insurance. You’ll pay for any damage caused by a Kaiju attack. That seems like a questionable business venture, but you’ve got a plan!
In order to cut claim expenses, you’ve decided to spend part of your revenue on a GIANT MECH to defend the city! If you can keep the city safe, you’ll profit!
Pilot your mech to defeat the Kaiju before their insurance claims drain your bank account! But be careful, with such powerful weaponry, it’s easy to raze the city yourself. You’ll be on the hook for any collateral damage you cause. Your accountant will be watching.
Do you have what it takes to SAVE THE CITY and make enough money to RETIRE GLORIOUSLY on an island far far away from Kaiju? Or… will you fall into crippling bankruptcy? … There’s only one way to find out!

Kentucky Fried Pixels
This game was part of the Kentucky Fried Pixels bundle and jam hosted by Louisville Makes Games.
Theme: “Minimum Carnage”.
Background
This game was inspired by the history of firefighting and fire insurance. Did you know fire insurers would form fire brigades that would only extinguish their own customers (and let others burn)? That’s what I was going for here. Unfortunately, I never got around to building the management half of the game, so you insure all the buildings in Kaiju Claim.
